Caroline Denervaud / the presence in paint

Caroline Denervaud (b. 1978, Lausanne, Switzerland) is a trained dancer whose practice translates movement into drawing through performance. Working on large-scale paper laid on the ground, Denervaud moves across the surface, recording bodily rhythms through inked traces. The resulting lines, both organic and precise, retain contours of human presence and motion, forming a sensitive geometry shaped by time and movement. Denervaud has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions in France, England, and the United States. She lives and works in Paris.
